I'M A LITTLE SNOWMAN

SLEDDING HILL
Here is a hill all covered in snow.
We'll get on our sleds and zoom we'll go,
We'll laugh and we'll play and we'll never stop.
Let's go again, race you to the top.
Sledding
Pull the children around the room in a small, safe sled in the classroom and outside in the snow. Make sure the area is clear of obsticles and that the child is holding on with hands inside of sled. Slow starts are best.

The children can make one by dipping round potatoe masher in paint and scraps of ribbon for scarf and hat.
Your class can also paint one with different sized lids. They are easier to grab with rolled tape on the inside.

Have a pile of mittens and gloves and pull one out and then have the children try to find the mate. Talk about the difference between mittens and gloves and colors and how some attach to the mate or the coat.
Snowflakes
Let the children cut and tear pieces of paper out of the snowflakes. Do not fold them too many times. May have to refold to get other side.
